A little black mini during these dog days of summer (mid 90ºs) is all I want to wear. When easy and breezy is the name of the style game – anything that lets the air flow and doesn’t take a lot of effort to style is what I reach for over and over. I also have one of these Brochu Walker “Havana” dresses in white because pieces like this just make life easier – and they really will never go out of style. Im loving the 1950’s movie star look of headscarves – they are a great way to mask a bad hair day (aren’t they all in this heat?) and they just add that extra element of chic to any look.
In spite of the extreme heat, summer as a mental state is definitely winding down. Most kids in LA are back to school, shops are filled with Halloween and Pumpkin Spice Latte displays and the realization that we are 2/3 through the year is setting in. It was a very low key summer for me, not a lot of travel or the usual amount of social activity but thats all about to change: next month is a big travel month for me starting with a trip home to Canada for my dads birthday – looking forward to some new adventures! Happy Monday lovelies xo Zia
