Vegan Shearling Jacket, Cream Bermuda Shorts.

Dressing for fall in LA is all about layers – its still very warm during the day and then the temperatures plummet at night, you know like all the way down into the 60s. I think this look could work in cooler climates with a switch of the heels to knee high boots and maybe some tights in the same hue. I absolutely love the look of this vegan shearling jacket from Blank NYC. I also have one in black from last year (see here) so I was very excited to add another to my collection. Its actually quite lightweight in spite of looking kind of bulky, perfect for LA fall/winter.

Brown is definitely the color of the season (along with burgundy, we’ll talk about that another time) its a color that is often overlooked and seen as dowdy but Im personally happy to have it make a comeback. I think browns can look very luxurious and exude a quiet luxury, and when paired with cream it’s a beautiful thing!

What is it about this time of year that makes time feel like its moving so much more quickly? The weeks have just been zipping by. I have to keep checking the calendar to remind myself what day it is. We’re less than a week away from Halloween and I haven’t even thought about a costume. Since we host a Halloween gathering every year I feel obligated to dress up – any costume ideas? Im all ears!
